Collective protection and territorial support for Indigenous, land, and environmental human rights defenders
This report looks at case studies of collective protection from Mexico, Ecuador, and the Amazonian tri-border region linking Peru, Brazil, and Colombia. The report highlights community-led collective protection initiatives and also analyses the regional context for land rights defenders which is marked by Macro-criminal networks as the primary aggressor. The report also gives an overview of the conceptual framework for collective protection and provides a set of targeted recommendations for NGOs and donors.
