L\u2019initiative communautaire de suivi des for\u00eats en temps r\u00e9el ForestLink vise \u00e0\u00a0soutenir les gardiens traditionnels des for\u00eats dans la surveillance et la protection de leurs terres.<\/p>\n

Les approches conventionnelles de surveillance et de lutte contre la d\u00e9forestation ill\u00e9gale n\u2019arrivent pas toujours \u00e0 la racine du probl\u00e8me. De nombreux programmes d\u2019observation ind\u00e9pendante d\u00e9pendent de missions de terrain souvent co\u00fbteuses des ONG internationales et nationales. Les nouveaux progr\u00e8s dans la surveillance des for\u00eats par satellite ont transform\u00e9 les capacit\u00e9s de d\u00e9tecter la d\u00e9forestation, mais ne montrent pas toujours ce qui en est la cause et peuvent \u00eatre d\u00e9tach\u00e9s des r\u00e9alit\u00e9s locales et des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019application de la loi.<\/p>\n
